Who we are

This service is run by Cut (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Cut. Contact us at thecut1@proton.me.

You must be 18 or older

Cut is for adults only. When you sign up you confirm that you are 18 or older, and we record when you did. If you are under 18, you may not use Cut. We may close any account where we believe the user is under 18.

What Cut does

You upload a photo of yourself. Cut returns a face shape, a short note about your proportions and a ranked list of haircuts and facial-hair styles, each with a plain-English reason. The results are automatically generated suggestions to help you decide what to ask a barber for. They are not professional advice and we don’t promise any style will suit you or look a particular way on your hair.

Your photos

• Only upload a photo of yourself, showing one clear adult face. Don't upload other people's photos without their permission, or photos of anyone under 18.
• Your photo is never stored. We read it in memory, send it to an AI model to produce your result, and discard it. See our privacy page for details.
• By uploading a photo you give us permission to process it in that way, and you confirm that you have the right to do so.

Using the service fairly

• Don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or get around the usage limits.
• Don't use it to harass anyone or for anything unlawful.
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Plans and billing

• Free: 1 analysis per month, showing your face shape and the top-ranked style.
• Premium: £9 per month. The full ranked shortlist (up to 8 styles) and up to 30 analyses per month.
• Premium renews monthly until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe.
• You can cancel at any time in the billing portal on the Premium page. Premium then continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
• If a payment fails, we keep your Premium access on for a short grace period while Stripe retries.
• Monthly limits reset on the 1st of each month. Unused analyses don't carry over.
• Payments are not refundable except where the law requires it or where we say otherwise.
• If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you.

Availability and changes

Cut relies on third-party services such as AI models, hosting and payments, so we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features. If we stop the service, we will give notice where we reasonably can.

Ending your account

You can stop using Cut at any time and delete your account yourself from your dashboard. Deleting your account cancels any Premium subscription immediately, with no refund for the rest of the paid period, and permanently removes your account and results. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Our responsibility

We provide Cut with reasonable care and skill. We aren’t liable for losses that weren’t a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach, or for how you use the suggestions, for example the result of a haircut. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer.
